Has anyone tried the Zone 3'' lift? From the few reviews I could find of it on the forum, it seems to be a great product.

A friend of mine has had the 3" Zone kit on his TJ for about 2 months now. He really likes it. It rides nice.

I have not heard anything long-term, but considering how new Zone is, its going to be tough to find that kind of feedback.

DPG Off-Road shows a good example of a kit from economy to ultimate (using OME). Personally I'd look for more then just an economy lift if at all possible.

COOL! Yeah i was hoping i could just jack up one side of the axle at a time and jam them in there. nothing a pry bar and a BFH cant do!

Matt,

I was wondering if I could go for a ride in your jeep with the RC and then after the AEV? That would be awesome first hand experience and an excuse to get some free help putting your coils in. I do have a 20 let me know what you need.

RC? does that stand for Rough Cushioning or rough car? they should rename their company to rough ride!

I think Shocks and Shock length is the KEY here

I think knowing your suspension travel and having the correct length shocks/bumpstops for your tire/spring(BB) height is the biggest factor in ride quality.

I think OME and Bilsteins will make any spring / spacer lift ride good.
Butt your looking at $80 a shock.

Next shock that has a good length is Trailmaster and 99% of people hate those.

Next is the Skyjacker Most people like them and they have appropriate lengths.
Most people prefer the $37 hydro shock for the TJ.

According to Quadratec the Rubicon express front 2" lift shock has a compressed length of 16.5"
that would require a 3" bumpstop. You would not gain any up travel with a 3" lift and would loose up-travel with anything under 3"...

I can only speak for myself... I purchased the OME light duty 2.5in kit because it allowed for more compression, there's no way to escape the ride of a short wheel base and solid axles completely, but I feel my lift does a tremendous job of dampening the stiffness, I think larger tires also help

Sorry,I've been in jail! I always buy RC and my neighbor has OME.I honestly can't tell the difference and for the money,I'd rather spend the extra cash on other goodies.

Im in this same spot too man. Im thinkin im gonna go with the Zone 3" kit and upgrade to their Nitro shocks since i already have their 1.25" BL and it was quaility and everything was there. Think im gonna also go with the Browndog 1"MML and get the rough country $70 Disconnects.
