Rancho Suspension

Not much on the site about Rancho lifts any thoughts/opinions on the Wrangler Rubicon & Unlimited 2.5" Lift (Rockcrawler competition system)
Thanks

Because they use Rancho R5000 shocks, they're very stiff-riding. You don't hear or read much about Rancho suspensions because they're a second-tier player as they're not all that great of a suspension. They make an "ok" kit for a street Jeep (other than its very stiff ride) but for serious offroading, it's nothing to get real excited about.

Not when you use the RS 9000X shocks, this kit is great. I have this kit with the RS 9000X adjustable shocks and it has yet to fail me.

I've seen the Rock Crawler version on a friends Jeep and it flexes like crazy, rides nice (although he is using the cab controlled rs9000 shocks), and has given him no trouble whatsoever.

For a short arm kit, and the price range it is in, I would consider it a good choice FWIW.

I run a Rancho 2.5" kit though it has been on my Jeep for quite some time. It was on it when I bought it and I really do like it. Compared to others ans stock I think it rides quite nice. The bushings are going and I will change the new control arms to RE like my fronts but overall it is a great ride even with 5000s. I have had 9000s too and wouldn't waste the money on them again. Here is mins sitting on the Rancho kit w/31s. I could easily do 32s or even 33s with a BL:
