Racks bolted on hardtop.......
Anyone here with racks bolted directly on the hardtop?

The KargoMaster Safari Basket has 2 wide flat rails running all the way across with sliding nut plates inside the channel. It seems like it would work very well IF the hardtop is completely flat across a good portion of the top. Remember that downward pressure may not be the only concern. Bulky loads could produce an upward pull on the highway. I would use giant washers or a plate on the inside to spread out the load.
