If I was in your shoes I would get the JK. JK definately has lower cost per inch lift advantage although the aftermarket parts/lifts are still forthcoming. If you have patience and not in a real hurry, get a JK.

As for the new model bugs, I think most are identified by now including the latest recall on brake issue (goes dead on a climb when accelerator is released).

If a Carmax store is near by check out used JK.

Hey Jerry, I'm curious. Do you have any plans on getting a JK? Maybe not in the near future, but in a few years or something??

What do you think of the JKs?

I was in the same situation in May. I had a 99 Sahara that was totaled and I knew I wanted a Rubicon. I looked at JK's but the availability of what I wanted (Rubicon, black, manual) was almost nonexistent out here and I am not sure about the 3.8L. I ended up finding an 04 black manual Rubicon and could not be happier.

If i were in your shoes I would get a new 4-door JK and wait for all the aftermarket mods to come in. I would also get the Rubicon version. JMHO.

I'd get a Rubicon whether it is a JK or a TJ. But I have to say, the 4-door JK's look real tough in black, w/ a hard top, black wheels and lifted. A TJ will be a bit cheaper if cost is an issue. It's a tough choice.
