Putting OEM Top Header Clamps on a No-Drill Header

I recently acquired a pretty much destroyed LJ top for free just to see if there were any salvageable parts from it. Unfortunately, there really wasn't except for the side windows and the header; then I got an idea. I took the clamps off the OEM header and was comparing them to the no-drill header I have for my Bestop safari top, and I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the screwed-in clamps with the OEM ones?

The screw holes on the no-drill header are slightly wider and smaller than the OEM clamps, but with a little effort I think it might work. However, putting the OEM clamps next to the bolt-on ones shows the clamps themselves don't quite line up.

I don't want to destroy my no-drill header in trying to convert it to using the OEM clamps; but if I could engineer this it would certainly make using the safari top a lot easier as I wouldn't have to bolt in the header every time I want to use it!

Cheers! M2

I think it'd probably be easier to mod the safari top to fit the oem header.

...I recall seeing a thread on something like that done at one point. I think it was linked in the thread about no-drill fitment issues on 03-06 Tjs
