Project setup 2.5"OME w/ 1" BL?

After extensive research, I think I may go with the 2.5" OME Suspension lift and a 1"BL probably from JKS.

Any suggestions?

and/-or- pics.....with this setup.

Thinking on Rock Crawler 15 x 8's with BFG AT 32x11.50's

1. Welcome to JF
2. Fill in your rigs specs in your profile

I've been running that similar setup but used DPG's coils instead of OME.

2.5 coils
OME shocks
JKS BL & BMML
JKS Adj trackbars
Factory Ravines w/ 1.25 spidertrax spacers
33 x 12.5 Cooper STT's

Works well for my use.

Excellent choice. Fill in your profile so we know more about your Jeep. Do you have a 4.0? I think 32s will be ideal for that setup, though Im sure many may push toward 33s. OME provides an excellent ride on the trail and street. The 32s will have less power loss and better fuel economy than the 33s, and have more room to flex. Do you know what your gears are? What rockcrawlers, Alloy or steelies?

I was having problems editing my profile, so here's what I have so far:
Stock 2003 Jeep Wrangler X/Commando
4.0 I-6
Automatic
Gears???? I have no idea, probably factory 3.07
Stock 15x7 steel wheels w/ cheap tires
Soft top
All stock...I just purchased the Jeep a few weeks ago from a Jeep dealer.

Intentions: Show & go to and from work
It'll probably never hit the mud/slopes or do any kind of rock crawling.
Just want something other than the stock/boring look without complicating things and getting into turning wrenches and busting knuckles again.

That's why I bought a Jeep. KISS method.

The wheels are probably going to be Rock Crawler 15x8 Steel Series 97 or 152(Simulated Bead Lock).
-or-
Mickey Thompson 15x8 Classic II's.

Which ones would look better?

Jeep is silver with a black soft top.

I'm kinda partial to factory rims. Never posted a pic - but at least I just washed it.

I have an Unlimited with the DPG set up (see my signature) and 33" tires fit with no rubbing at all, if you do not mind mild rubbing in full stuff DPG even says you can run 35", but I think that would be pushing it......

I like your mudflaps. Do you off-road much? If so, i'm curious how those things hold up over rocks and such

did you make them yourself??

No actually, just used factory TJ HD flaps. The fronts hang fine but needed a little trimming on the outside edges to clear flairs properly on an RME. The rears I just ran a small bolt through them & anchored via wire to the factory bumper to hold them back at the right angle. They use lots of sand here in the winter which is pretty hard on paint. So far they do not catch on rocks or other trail obsticals and significantly reduce mud on side glass.

Yah, I wheel this rig. I don't daily drive it. I just am really judicious as to what line I will or will not take. Really hate bending stuff because my stupid meter was on high.

Thanks for the replies and pics

Nice setup on both Jeeps.

I'm a fan of factory wheels as well, however mine are the factory 15x7 wheels (standard as standard). I was looking on ebay before I posted this thread for factory Jeep wheels.

Will 2007/2008 17 and 18 inch wheels work on a 2003 hub?

I like the factory 16" wheels like you all have, however I can't seem to find any on ebay.

Are your tires 33x11.5's or 33x12.5's (equivalent)?

Look for 'Moab' wheels, they are 16x8 and came on the Rubicons, also check craigslist. Heres a pic from when my Jeep was all stock:
