Project drunk redneck aka Insurance upgrade
I had some drunk retard in a lifted pickup backed into my jeep
. I took the check and its turned into Project drunk redneck. Orderd so far: Rokmen mercenary front bumper Smittybuilt XRC8 TNT Tube fenders 3.5 flare Still need to order lighting for the front tubes, and settle on foglights, intake, and gel cell battery. I will keep updating this as stuff starts showing up and then when the install happens. The beginning: ![]() ![]()

Edited to add pics of damage, i still don't get how they came up with 1900 bucks in damage but im not complaining.
I like the aev highline alot but i want something that will be a bit more "forgiving" out on the trail. if i bump something i need to retouch the tnt fenders with some spray paint, not replace the fender.

Sticking with the tnt's, they will give plenty of clearance.

My buddy just got in a wreck, and they used a price list for OE parts to do the estimate. The fenders are rarely repairable, so one new fender is $775. One flare is about $90, factory fogs are $75ea. You get the picture! His total damages were one fender, one flae, one turn light, bent grille, jammed warn 9500ti, bent winch plate, broken steering gear, and busted fog ligh, all paid out to the sum of almost $7k

project redneck
you should check into it. I don't think you got enough $ from the insurance. they usually try to get people to take there first offer. parts, labor, body work, paint and supplies, down time[rental car],ect is what you should be paid for. get a estimate from a "good" body shop and you will probably see what I mean.

For the battery, check out the Sears DieHard Platinum; it's an Odyssey in Sears badging. It gives you the technology of Odyssey and the convenience/availability of your local Sears.

this is a good reminder to all those who mod their jeep - save your receipts. for you fab guys, you can record the number of hours you put into fabrication and "bill" your time at a standard 4x4 shop or welder rate in the area. I keep a list in a spreadsheet. I double checked with my insurance on all this

It's nice that you know who did it. My fender got hit in a parking lot and it got bent down (almost like someone sat on the thing) and my flare got wrinkled. I didn't see it happen nor did anyone own up to it and its not enough damage to be worth it to claim a hit and run or anything on my insurance so I bent the flare back as best I could and just have to deal with it
