PRICE CHECK!97 wrangler PRICE CHECK!
So i went and looked at a 97 wrangler today. Its black with tan softtop, tan cloth interior, 5-speed,69,000 miles, Air conditioning,31 inch BF GOODRICH a/ts with matching spare, pioneer cd player, new speakers, custom bumpers and he wants $8,500. Figured ide ask the pros if or what its worth. Some rust on the undercarage...nothing major.

seeing as i got my 97 1 year ago with 87k miles pioneer head unit black top everything fixed and in perfect condition i payed 5,000
now look at all if done o yeah i replaced the top due to a small whole and scratched up windows only 500 there so i would say its far over priced i mean im selling mine as it is now for 7000 look at the pictures in my signature if interested

I bought my '97 in October of '04, 87K, 5-sp, 31" BFG ATs - seller was asking $8500, offered $7,700 and he took it.

1998 SE here, paid $9500 plus tax (really $10300) for this with 87K miles:
at the time it was really clean, but after about $2500 in mods for offroading, its pretty dirty now. i still love it like the day i bought it.

I think it all depends on where you are located. I bought my 97 a couple of weeks ago and paid $6,500. It has 85,000 miles, 2.5, 5spd, decent top and tires.
I wish I could find some in the $5,000 range so I could sell them around here for at least $7,000. If one goes up for sale, they go fast. I was lucky and was the first person to respond to the guys ad. He said the phone never stopped ringing, and it was advertised for $6995! |

I bought my 98 Sahara Black/Tan with 80k miles, 31s, mint condition, Aftermarket stereo/speakers, alarm system, custom bumpers, fogs in January of '04 for $9k even. Figure a year and a half of depreciation on top of that to bring the price down to today's figures- I'd say don't pay more than $7500.

that's OK jmaldo, I got raped too. $8500 for a 97 SE and more bone than stock. It depends on where you are from. THis was a decent price for NJ and I think your price is also decent.
