Popping noise from rear end...

Hello everyone.

I was hoping I might get some advice on a problem I have with my 2005.

When I decelerate, I get a popping noise from the rear end...it is very noticeable and slows as the vehicle slows.

Do any of you know what the cause of this could be?

I just had the oil changed in the front and rear differentials. This is the only work done recently. The vehicle has a 3" teraflex lift.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Check the pinion nut for security.

Could possibly be the clutches if you have a limited slip in the rear. You said the fluid was changed recently, did you have the condition prior to the fluid change?
Limited slips require slip additive.
Have you checked the splines inthe rear driveshaft? is there any play in them? When was the last time the splined were greased?
If all the above check out, there could be a strong possiblity the spider gears are worn, especially if it is a d35 in the rear.
