Plasti dip inside tub
I was thinking about Plasti Dipping the inside of my tub for noise and to get rid of some rust that is under front side floorboards....has anyone tried this? If so how did it turn out??

How do you figure PlastiDip will fix rust?

That's what I was thinking I have carpet I'm going to put it back down I'm thinking more sound for radio and less road noise yet it is a jeep

I would think Plastidip would scratch up easily, and wear where your feet are. For sound dampening, carpet will probably be the best, truck bed liner might help a bit too.

You can't paint over rust and expect good results. Plasti Dip will not hold up at all.

You think I could take a biscuit grinder and brush rust off then hit it with a rattle can then plasti dip the tub then?

Yes, or a sander. You'll only need to hit it for a second, and then apply the spray paint.

That's what I was thinking but just wanted some opinions my thinking is if I don't like plati dip I can peel it off

Depends on how thick you plasti cote it, the rubber is great for sprayed on thin coats, but I think some other bed liner type product would be more durable, especially when put on over your attempt to "knock the rust out"

What would you guys recommend if i was to bed liner it?

Monstaliner -
Line-X -
LizardSkin -
Herculiner -

Just as starters. Might be much better, and definitly more durable than plastidip

Al's Liner has a kit with spray gun for bed liner and they also have a material to spray over the top for noise and heat reduction.

This is the direction I am leaning to do my inside tub.

Ok I'm not wanting to crack out too much cash

Plasti dip will not last if anything comes into contact with it. Sprayed the backseat area and it started coming off in a few weeks

The time now is 10:10 AM.
