Pitman Arm

I'm about to replace my steering gear box and ordered a new pitman arm to go with it. The website simply stated that it was a TJ OEM replacement pitman arm, however when it arrived the box stated that the pitman arm is for manual steering. It appears to have the same drop/bends as my current pitman arm. Will this still work on a rig with PS, or do I need to send it back?

If the splines fit your box and the taper is the right size and in the right direction it will be fine.

There are only so many different ways to make a pitman arm. It probably also fits some other non-TJ application that has manual steering.

Went ahead and pulled it out of the bag and checked. The manual steering pitman arm will not fit on the output shaft on the power steering gear box. Hopefully they'll take it back.

Something doesn't seem right here. The box is the same and so the spline keys should be the same.
