Over heating!!

I drive with my AC or fan on for like 30 min to and hr and then the whole engine/ radiator will reach 250 and overheat. Any idea on fixing this? Jeep TJ with electric radiator fan. And yes the fan is working and always running.

Have you flushed out the radiator and checked the thermostat for sticking?

At what speed are you driving when you overheat? Is your coolant level normal? Is your overflow bottle bubbling? Do you have a winch and bumper and lights blocking your radiator? Did you recently go mudding?

Need mo' details.

I didnt recently flush, i should. I was going about 30 MPG through city, levels are normal, the overflow is bubbling and i dont have anything blocking it no winch or different bumper, and went mudding like 4 months ago and there is no left over mud.

I will try to flush it this weekend...it came with the jeep and the jeep has 102,000 miles on it..i dont know when it was flushed last, i think it was the previous owner that did it before me. The radiator seems to be in good condition no leaks..

Check your fan clutch. If it is fine then change your radiator cap and thermostat. They are both super easy to do.

If you went mudding a few months ago. There may also be some stuck in the fins of the radiator. I would flush and change your t-stat and it never hurts to blow out the radiator with compressed air. Just my .02
