Other than bushwacker

So... since I was hit by a moving truck yesterday, I'm in the market for new fender flares.

What are my options? what are you guys running? I like the look of bushwacker, but the price is a little intimidating. Not to mention the crappy plastic they use.

I'm looking for something that will hold up a bit better offroad, covers, my tires a little better. (Don't need 6 inch flares, but something wider than stock would be nice), and cheap.

I may actually be selling this Heep in the next couple of weeks for a newer model, but I'm not sure yet.

Anyways, Everyone talks about bushwacker as the alternative to stock... but I also hear they're pretty brittle. So what else is out there and is a decent price? I did search, but wasn't finding much other than "Get bushwacker" or "Don't get bushwacker"

There are lots of companies selling TJ flares. Off the top of my head - Bushwacker,
Warn, Xenon, Bestop, Genuine Truck Accessories - Bushwacker pocket style copy with textured surface - 6"- $200 from 4wheelparts, Omix-ada factory lookalikes in various widths, JeepsKing, AEV

Try picking up a few magazines or searching on-line for Flares Wrangler...
Go the the websites for 4wheelparts, Quadratec, and 4WDHardware and order their wishbooks...err... catalogs.

Oh, and don't get bushwacker...

I bought a pair of Bushwacker knock-offs from ebay for less than half the price of Bushwackers. They look exactly like Bushwackers, meaning they're still brittle plastic. They'll get me by (hopefully) until I go with tube fenders.

egr from Quadratec, about $165. They cover 35 x12.50 nicely.

It just goes to show you can't always tell the depth of the well by the length of the handle on the pump.

I did the same thing. The felt very flimsy when they arrived, but once bolted to my Jeep the felt pretty sturdy and have held up well. Can't seem to find the name of the seller, otherwise I would give you that.

i like my egr's, i also like paying less than half the cost of bushwackers. $450 for flares is a rip off.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the help.

I'll look into the EGR ones. I took a look at xenon, but didn't recall hearing much about them on here so wasn't sure about the quality of them

I run a set of Xenon's on my rig.
They are very tough and flexible (un-like the Bushwackers)
