Opinions on this rocker panel set.

Hey, it looks like I'd have to remove the extensions on my front fender flares to add these, but that's fine. Thery're from Kryptonite Customworks. Anyone have them?

They are basically Rubicon rocker guards, if not worse. Rubicon rocker guards are for looks only basically.

Get yourself a set of Jeeperman, A to Z, or similar.

Rubber coated and powder coated..............that sounds odd (have to bake the powder coat on and heating rubber doesnt sound right) - I think it s BS.
They would provide minimal protection (very minimal) Waist of money diamond plate is ugly, hard to clean rust off of, AND does not slide over obstacle's easily

NOw come on (lol) rockers for 50 dollars???????????????????

I would pass, doesnt say how thick or even what the material is. Warn makes a good one if you don't like a step. or just go buy some 4"x2" angle iron and bolt it to the rockers.

I agree with the other statements. Diamond plate will not protect your rockers. Period.

If you want protection you should NOT get that set.

If you want looks, I would still pass.

I replaced my stock rubicon rock sliders after looking at the difference b/t them and aftermarket sets. Last weekend, I saw a ruby with the stock rockers. The owner must have come down on something because the whole side was dented up - kinda like what front fenders look like after severe tire rubbage underneath. Anyway the whole side was distorted rather than just the area where they hit something. They would have better off without them, or better yet if they had upgraded then they wouldn't have rec'd any damage. Anyway, made me feel better about the $$ I spent wisely - this time...

I am just finishing having a set of 3/16 Diamond Tread rocker pannels cut. The sheet of diamond plate I bought will yeild two sets one for me and one for who ever else. If you are hard up for a diamond tread set but with real protection let me know. Don't know how much I would sell it for, depends on how it turns out. My buddy is water jetting them tomorrow and then another friend is bending them. Lots of Jack Daniels and calling in almost all my markers is finally going to get them done.
