OPDA Failure

My tj is throwing 3044 code and behaving as described in OPDA threads. Its parked at the subway station, can I drive it home or to a shop to fix it, or does it need to be towed? 20 miles or so would be the distance.

Thanks
joey

Mine usually quit "laughing" after a few minutes of running, and I drove it off and on for a couple of weeks prior to getting it into the shop and getting new OPDA installed.

What is the preferred fix now ? I have read the long thread and the options are many.

Mine is laughing at startup but only for about 60 sec.

Mine didn't laugh that long, unless it was really cold. A new OPDA is probably needed asap. Doing one of the many "fixes" is a possibility, I never did though. If it blows up I'll probably wish I had though.

I found plugging in my block heater kept the oil warn enough to stop the laughter....until I could get Jeep to kick in for the OPDA replacement, which they did.

A few people have gotten some help, but in most cases no. And they are just replacing it with exactly the same part.
