OME/Taraflex .75" spacers/32" Goodyear MT/R's
Just purchased my first Jeep.
-1999 TJ Sport (110,000 miles) -Manual transmission -30/35 -3.73 gears Want to go with a modest lift and 32" tires. After looking at this site for the last month or so, the options are mind boggling . I am leaning towards the following set-up. Want to know if anyone else is running it, and are the happy? -OME 2.5" lift HD (I plan on a winch in the future) -Taraflex spacer (.75" if you replace the factory) -32" Goodyear MT/R's -Spacers or new wheels (Haven't decided yet) -Am hoping to stay away from the cost of a SYE/CV for now I want to keep it dependable. Plan on modest trails on the weekend with the wife and kids. Mayby a couple trips to Silver Lake Sand Dunes (West Michigan). Any other thoughts or guidence would be apreciated. I want to do it right the first time. Thanks Woody

LOVE Silver Lake, im actually planning on making a trip up there too this summer. You could get by just fine in a stock jeep.

I ran the OME kit with .75" coil spacers... most likely you WILL need a CV/SYE if you go this route. I had one.
If you absolutely DO NOT want to purchase a CV/SYE setup I would skip the .75" spacers and (as posted above) go with a 1" BL/MML combo. That setup *should* be vibe free, but you really won't know until you are done with the install.

You won't necessarily need a SYE with that setup, but go with a BL instead of spacers and you probably won't get vibes with that D35. You may be OK with 32s with just the OME. I think I could do 32s with mine. I got over 3"( 4cyl with a winch) with the OME.

Here's my TJ with 2.5" OME HD Lift, a JKS 1" BMML, and a JKS 1.25" BL. I was running Procomp 32x11.50x15 with no vibs. I added a 3/4" Teraflex Spacers up front when I added my winch! It was a pretty nice setup.

OME/32's
Thanks for all the info.Looks like time to order the OME. Will try that with the Goodyear 32's first. Then add a BL or spacers: If I need. Best price I have seen is $600. Just in case, anybody know of a better price? |

I run almost the exact set-up you are talking about.
OME HD kit + 3/4 spacers JKS 1.25" Body Lift 1" Motor Lift 33" MTR's 15x8" Alloy Wheels w/ 3.75" Backspace I have no vibs at all. Works great. No rubbing anywhere even when Disco'd and it keeps the CG low for stability. Solid set-up for those of us on a budget. Joe
