Has anyone experienced problems with differences in vehicle height from side to side with an OME lift? Specifically, I have a 2.5" OME lift that's been on my rig for one year (see sig below for more details).

I've only put about 2,000 miles on my Jeep since the lift kit install. Last night after I put it in the garage, I noticed that the Jeep was leaning to the right side. I measured the height from the floor to the bottom of the fender flares on each corner and the difference was 1/2" front and rear (the right side being lower than the left).

And to save someone from asking, the springs were installed correctly and in the right orientation. Immediately after the install last year, the vehicle sat level with only a 1/16" difference from side to side, with the left side being slightly lower then.

The measurements were taken at the exact same place in the garage. So I'm wondering:

1. Is it possible that both right springs are sagging?
2. Could it be something else on the vehicle making it sag on the right side?

BTW, the Wrangler still has the stock bumpers, no winch, and no rocker guards. However, I am planning to mount these things very soon and need to determine what's wrong with my rig before I install them.

That's odd that two springs would sag at exactly the same rate and two wouldn't. Tell your buddy to get out of the passenger seat and measure it again. Just kidding, to answer your question, no I have never seen this with OME or any other kit I've installed. They all settle a little over time but usually the front settles a little more than the back but not side to side.

Maybe they make the springs that way to compensate for the weight of the driver? Are your tires all at the same psi?

Not heard of both right side springs sagging, especial with OME springs but I think the TJ is known for having a right rear spring sag issue. You might want to call Dirk at DPG Offroad 316-776-9900 and talk with him.

Yup, the tires are all at the same psi. When I measured the lift immediately after the install, the vehicle was even side-to-side, front-to-back. When I racked up about 300 miles, I measured it again and everything was still the same.

This time I was planning to measure the vehicle height again before I installed my new bumpers to see if the suspension has sagged at all in the year since it was installed, but then I noticed that the rig was leaning to the right. That's when I measured and found the height difference.

heard on another forum that OME spring are different lengths to compensate for sag on one side (cant remember which) . maybe you have them backwards or mixed up? i dont have any experience with any of this, just trying to throw out a couple possibilitys.

springs in wrong poisition tend to settle with a sag to one side. who installed your lift?

The springs should be installed:

Front left A
Front Right B
Rear Left B
Rear Right A

This is from the orientation of you sitting in your drivers seat.

Thanks for the replies. I installed the lift myself. I was careful to install the coils in the right orientation, but I'm still not sure what could cause the right side to sag.

generally, you'll see spring sag from right to left immediately after you install the lift, while the springs are worn in. So this as you know is very weird.

Curious to know, did you take it on an RTI ramp? Is this the first time you've ever really compressed your springs? That could be the case...or over compression of one side may cause it.

My front end sagged also after a about 2k miles. I just thought it was normal. And that was before I put all the weight on it that I have now. Mine sagged just over a 1/4, but not a 1/2. I just figured normal being the weight of the engine.
