OME Spacer Problem ? (Pic)

The spacer(yellow) looks uncomfortable to say the least. Would it be better to have the OEM spring retainer over the OME yellow spacer (Thats what I am thinking)? Or does it not really matter and will ride into place?

It should be behind the spring retainer.
