i took off my front bumper last night so that i could mount a hilift jack rack on it, i figured i'd be okay driving to work without the bumper.
while driving this morning i realized i left my fog lights dangling in the breeze!
one survived with no problems, the other one has a cracked lens(for lack of a better term). anyone know where i can get a hold of one of these, or do i just have to head out to the dealership?
hammer me with all of the comments you like, i've earned it ...

You know they have a wirining harness connector so you can just unclip them.
Check jeepsareus.com as I think I've seen single fog lights sold on there before.

if you just need the lens, i'd head to the stealership. you might be able to find one in a junkyard, but i doubt it...
but that's an awesome story

Don't feel moronic, I was working on my old ZJ once.....I did a bunch of maintenance and cleaning on it. I ended by washing it and took it for a spin to dry it off as it was getting dark. I had placed the hood down hours earlier but forgot seat it completely. I got up to 45 and the hood flew open. It's interesting trying to get the window down fast enough to stick your head out like Ace Ventura so you can safely pull off. ( I had cars behind me ) The hood bent at the hinges. Instant cowl induction.
You're not alone, still I have to laugh at how your fogs looked dangling below like christmas ornaments Now you can laugh at me.

You're in good company as I did the same thing when putting my new bumper on. I got half way through the install and then needed to run out for something or other and not only left the lights hanging, but left a couple tools up there as well. Luckily there was no damage to anything, but I now make sure to do a walk around before just taking off

Moron is a little strong. Retard maybe? But always do a walkaround after working on your vehicle. Those of us with little kids can't afford not to.
