oil leak? don't know were from

ok so for the last week or so there have been random spots of oil showing up in my garage and drive way when i noticed that it was under my jeep i crawled under my jeep and found out its dripping from my skid plate half or more of the plate is covered in oil i looked at the transfer case and gear box and could not see anything dripping has any one else had this problem? or have a way that could help me figure out were its leaking from?

its too dark for me to add pics tonight but i will add some tomorrow after noon. thanks in advance for any help!

Powerwash it first, then figure out what kind of fluid it is so you will know where to look.
