OEM Hardtop Repair
The Sahara I recently purchased has a small section missing from the OEM hardtop in the right rear. I assume previous owner must have dropped it on that corner while removing or whatever. Can the repair be accomplshed with a fiberglass repair kit and last after sanding and paint, or will the repaired section just break off again? Anyone know of a better method of repair? Missing area (corner) is about 1" square.

I wouldn't worry that much if I were you... Recently I 've cracked the OEM hard top just above the right wheel flare (not by dropping it though, the oher way ;-)...), had it repaired, no problems at all... It is not even visible and the repairsman even reproduced the slightly pipmly surface, furthermore there is no need repaint everything, just the remolded surface... I wouldn't worry about breaking either, but I would suggest you seek out professional help... It is quite cheap and quick work to perform... As for other methods of repairing fiberglass I am not really aware of...

The right-rear corner of mine snapped off after falling off of it's storage stand. I repaired it with a Fiberglass kit from PepBoys. While I was at it, I reinforced both rear corners. I purchased HardTop paint (mines black) from Here. It is a little expensive but a perfect match. Using patience you can repair it. It is virtually impossible to see the repair
I now have a couple of friends who have signed me up to repair their's
