OD button on an 04 TJ
My commute to the station is about 75 miles. During the trip there is alot of hills. I have 3.73's and 33" tires with the 4 speed auto w/ overdrive. My tranny has to shift out of OD to get up these hills. I was wondering is it better to let it shift back and forth or just take it out of overdrive all together. Is it okay to drive with it out of OD? I don't take it over 65.
Thanks

thats called ''hunting''
it bounces out of OD cuz of too much load on the engine..if you dont drive over 65 i dont see anything wrong with just using regular drive..Maybe eat a little more gas,and sometimes its better on gas..Wont be lugging the engine at lower rpms..
