NP231 Transfer with SYE Rear Seal Problem

I will try to keep this short and sweet. I have a 97 TJ with a NP231 transfer case. Actually, we have two identical transfer cases, the manufacuring dates are one month apart. While doing a transmission swap, we discovered that mine may have some mud in my tranfer case. My trail buudy gave me his. We took it apart and gave his a thorough cleaning. All we need is the rear output shaft seal.

Heres the problem, every parts store in my town shows the rear shaft seal for NP231s without the slip yoke eliminator. The two tranfer case that I have seem to have a factory installed SYE. Can someone please shed some light on this for me? I would really love to go wheeling this weekend but it looks like I may have to tear apart my tranfer case to get going.

We do not have another seal as a sample.

I also noticed that in all the literature that I have found, everyone says that the NP231 is geared with either 21 splines or 23 splines and both of our transfer cases have 27 tooth splines. Is this a special transfer case? Sorry, Im lost now!!!!!

Oooops , answered my own question. Still need a seal though!!!
