AAAHHHH......it's so cute!

Good starting point, you don't have to fix anybody elses screw ups!

If your going to make any mods...PLAN PLAN PLAN! and then do it right the first time!

don't do it like the rest of us by doing it twice!

CONGRATS!

Yes, larger tires will put more demand on the engine. You will get less mileage and response. Larger tires are tolerable though. I have 33's with 4.10's and a 4 cyl. and it's doable. Not great, but doable. Your speedo. will also be off but that can be corrected easily.
Good luck!
Chad.

I was alos wondering what kinda horspower does the 4cyc put out... torque..if you know. I was thinking about 31's more than 30's. I was also thinking I was going to lose alot of articulation with the bigger tires.

About 120 ponies...you should be OK with 31's. You'll lose a bit of articulation with the larger tires...that is until you get yourself a lift and disco's.

spend the 200 bucks on a BB and some shocks, look up the home depot disco's, run 31's, and have a blast, then in a couple of years go with the big boys

The first thing I did was put 31" on mine 97.......Homemade Discos came next......I wheeled a longtime like that..........I had fun, learned what I could and couldn't do. Now that I have my 2" lift, and 32" mud tires......I can do things other people can't do.....just from the knowledge I have about my lil jeep. SO only do what you feel comfortable with.......
