Just noticed your user name, CRQ's where I learned at and flew in and out of for years.

Awesome place. Other than ever growing socal airspace, we're pretty spoiled. If you're not flying anymore and get the itch, let me know.

The drop in lockers are auto, right? If thats the case I dont think it will work out well for me due to the fact I drive it daily for work.. what do you think? Is it really that crazy around turns? Will I notice it much in 2 wheel?

You won't notice the drop-in on the front diff at all on the street in 2wd. Maybe an occassional click from the aussie from what i've read - really no clicking at all from the no slip.

I put an Aussie in the front of mine a little over a year ago and nope you won't notice it in 2wd. I commute mostly in mine and when the top is off I rarely hear it clicking. In 4wd it makes a big difference.

Thanks for the info guys!! I think I am going to go with super 35 in the back with ARB and an Aussie up front. :-) I dont do any hard core wheeling, yet, lol, but it should hold up on the fire roads here in So CAL. I do alot of hunting and hiking, so to get to the spots it gets kinda rough. Thanks Again!!!!!!!!

4ws sells a D44 with a locker, alloy shafts and your choice of gear ratio all set-up and ready to install for $2k. All you have to do is reuse the brakes off your D35 and it is bolt in. It's not a bad option if you want the locker and a new ratio at the same time.

Cool! I probably wont run anything more than 31" tires due to the fact it is my daily and I dont want to buy REALLY expensive tires every 50k. lol. Can anyone recommend a gear ratio I would suit that situation if I was to go that route?

Because I want to know that under my feet is a rock solid maniac waiting for the world. I have been doing alot of reading on here and google, and even though I am not going to run big tires, I am worried that I will go from no traction, to alot of traction, and then snap. :-) I want whats best for my TJ, and I know a beefier axles and lockers will make it right.

Ha Ha! Most people do, but I unfortunatly do not. I just want to set it up right for the the future. I plan on giving my TJ to my daughter when she turns 18.. in 15 years! LOL.

The lesson here is this. Set yourself up for success (or in this case your Jeep). And my pops always told me, "Don't do anything half a$$, and do it right the first time."

Hope this helps gain some insight into my intentions here. :-)

How do you mean? I find your attack on me unwaranted in this case.

EDIT: And here's another thing for your senior negitive. Would you say the same thing to anyone else who wants to set their Jeep up? Objectively at history. You mean that for my uses leaving it stock would be fine? I know that. And I also know the D35 will hold up right now. But why take a chance? And I want more in case I want to do more. I am not rich by any means, nor do I like blowing money away. But I dont think your negitve comments need to be said about a person who would like to buy products for thier Jeep to make a little more trail worthy. I find it sad that you would make such a cruel comment when I have dont nothing more than requested a little help from some friends here on the forum.

Are you a politician? Because excel at double speak.
Keep worrying about things in lift that might happen. Kinda like worrying about the bus that might run you over.
I'm done with the stupidity.
