I work at AutoZone and want to use the DuraLast Golds because when I snap them I can replace them easily for free. They give 1-0153 for the rear shaft, and 1-0278 for the front. Which one will work with both, and why do they even list two?

Hmmm
Looks like the 153 is greasable with a LLW warranty and the 278 is non-greasable with a 2 yr warranty
I'll bet they are exactly the same size and will work in either shaft.
