I had the same problem about a week ago. I replaced blinker switch, then brake light switch, then I found out it was the fuse. I felt stupid, but the fuse was unlabeled. But I would check for grounds before buying a brake light switch. But never hurts to replace it. Good luck finding the gremlin.
Not much motion in the ocean, but I'm the captain.
I don't remember what they call the part but it is in the steering column. It is where all the wires that are controled from when you turn the key on. It is an elictrical and mechanical part because it has a linkage that comes from the key switch running to it. I had to replace mine awhile back. I had no radio, no blinkers, no horn , etc.
I have no emergency flashers, brake lights, or turn signals.
I replaced a bad brake light fuse...no solution. I swapped out the flasher relay on the steering column...no solution. I replaced the turn signal multifunction assembly...no solution.
Check all wiring harness to and from steering column, I had one come undone after some work was done under the dash, it wasn't re-connected properly and looked connected, but it wasn't making full contact and was causing issues. Good luck!
