Newbie questions
1. I ordered a bushing for my 4wd shifter. Where can I find directions on how to install?
2. I have a weird noise under my jeep, it seems in the area where my driveshaft goes to the axles. I was thinking U-joint. The noise is like a steel on steel rubbing, in a pop pattern, like rub rub rub rub.... Took it to the jeep dealer today, they couldn't get me in, but sent a mechanic out to look at it, he crawled under, then went for a ride with me. He saw nothing bad, and of course it made no noise when he was with me. The only noise was the rattling 4wd shifter. I hear the noise most of the time, mostly hear it in 1st and 2nd, but I think that is because I can't hear it over the other noises, roof, 4wd shifter, etc, when I get up to higher speeds. For all I know this is a normal jeep thing, in which case it is ok. But it sounds like the noise my explorer made before the front axle fell off, because of a broke ujoint. 3. I have a sound bar w/ light, the light works when I rotate the headlight switch counterclockwise, but it doesn't work any other time. Nore do I see any other light in the interior. I checked the fuse it is ok. How do I get this to work when I open the door, I do not plan on removing doors. Also is there a warning that can be activated for headlights being left on, I am always leaving mine on. 4. Are there plugs for the holes left when you take off the top half of the doors? Thank you in advance

Can someone please help me out with some of these questions?
You don't have to answer all, just the ones you know.

Check and make sure that the fuse is in slot 10(I believe), if it is check and make sure that the wires coming from the back of the fuse box are still connected. And as for the alarm for the headlights, that will work when you get the overhead light working, they all trigger from the sensor in the doors.

How do you know if it is the u-joint. Just to look at it, I don't really know what I am looking for. It looks like a normal ujoint to me, sorta rusty like everything in PA. To me it doesn't look like it is ready to fall off or anything.
As for the fuse, the pattern says fuse 4 is the door kill switch, that and 10 are both good. Replaced them anyways, still no luck. Wires are attatched in rear of box.

Try pulling out the door switches and make sure the wires are connected. Some guys will disconnect them instead of pulling the fuse when running without doors
