Newbie.

I'm a wannabe jeep enthusiast living in Chicago. Want to start with a used, seasoned Jeep to tinker with. Does anyone know a good spot to begin in the Chicago area? Interested in something raised with 32" tires, preferably around 1999-2000.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Get a 2000 TJ (Wrangler) with a the 4.0 either X, Sport or Sahara model.

Stay away from the SE.....the 4cyl has no power.

Define where in the 'Chicago area'. I know it is a PITA for me to go form the far NW burbs to the South side...

Narrow it down a bit, will ya?

Live in the city...downtown Chicago (Wicker Park), but aching to get out into the wilderness. Must be my N.C. roots....
