New Wrangler owner ('98), have a question regarding soundbar

Last night I drove this puppy home, really excited to have some fun with this. One question I have though, driving home it sounded like a speaker was blown, or something was rattling in the soundbar. I thought it may of been the soundtop in the wind battering the soundbar, and was convinced untill this morning when I played a CD in my driveway. In the middle of the soundbar something is majorly rattling. Anyone have any experiance as to what this may be, or something that might be wrong? The speakers are Cerwin Vegas, pretty decent so I don't think its a problem with them, like I said it's in the center near where the lights should be.

When I had a new soundbar shipped to me, I experienced a similar problem. Thought the speaker was blown and sounded horrible. I got a RMA number and everything ready. I removed the speaker and a wire-nut fell out. Seems the parts assembler lost one and it rolled into the speaker, causing allot of noise. Worked fine after that.. until one of my passengers put his head through the speaker a month later.

Just another possibility..

Take the speakers out and stuff the inside of the bar with fiberfill - it's the stuff they use in stuffed animals and such. You can get it at WalMart or most craft stores.

It should:
1. Pin down whatever is rattling.
2. Improve the sound quality as much as is possible with the stock speakers (not much, but it helps)
