I bought a steering column to replace my old one and I didnt think about asking the previous owner to remove the key lock cylinder and I did not receive the original key either, so I cant do it myself. My question is, can I remove the key lock cylinder on the new steering column without the key? The only thing that I can think of is to grind down the locking tab with a dremel. While this would work I am looking for a little quicker option than sitting there for half an hour and grinding it down.
Thanks for all the help.
I describe myself as an idiot with moments of shear and absolute brilliance.
97 TJ with an 01 engine, 92 tranny, and a 91 transfer case. Yeah...its a mutt.
