Hello all. Just picked up a 99 SE with 30K miles on it (towed behind a motorhome most of its life). I'm hoping I got a gem, but we shall see. Have a couple of questions for you all.

Any problems with going to a synthetic oil with this engine vs dino oil? Looks like they've put dino in it since the beginning.

Since it is the 4cyl, it does lack some go... are there any chip modules worth getting to help out? What about a cold air intake system?

Is there an online source for the user's manual?

Thanks. I'm sure I'll have more questions as time passes. I'm ready to leave work now and take a drive

Something else I just remembered... an aftermarket cruise control. Anyone ever do one?

You should have no problem switching over to synthetic oil.

This should open a huge debate with one side saying that everything is snake oil that will do no good and the other side swearing that every gizmo out there will work and give you 50% more horsepower and get you 30 mpg.

From what I’ve seen the best thing you can do with the 4 cylinder is match your differential gearing to your tires if you go to larger tires.

I think I got mine from jeep.com. You can get a build sheet from them as well.
