New lift pics, and special thanks...
Here's the before....
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now the after.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() One with Mama... ![]() Not too bad for a white boy. This was my first lift install, things went very slow. It took most of one day and part of the next. Tall jack stands are the way to go. Plus having two floor jacks was awesome. I want two thank some JeepForum folks, Nick for the great deal on the lift, the guy that I bought the tires off and dude from Indy I bought the black rims from. Big O' Tires in Bardstown Ky, for the FREE used 33" spare tire, Thanks Billy (Waiting on the tire carrier to mount the spare.) Total cost from stock to lifted: $450 for the 4" lift (NIB) $240 for 4 33x12.5's (Gently used) $100 for the 5 black steelies (Rusty and used, sanded and painted) =$790 Quote from the 4x4 shop using same lift, rims and tires: $2400+/- Glad I did it myself.

That looks great and you did a good job getting a good deal. 790 for all that is awsome. What lift is it and do you get any vibes, did you get a sye?

Also wondering if you did an SYE. i've been wanting to do a 4" lift cause they are in my price range, but i am afraid i am gonna get too much driveline vibes.

Because of the bun in the oven, I scaled back some of the mods. I was set on the RE SF 3.5. But the cash just wasn't there. So I ended up going with the 4 inch Rough County, not the X version though. I figure as the money comes, I can piece meal and upgrade the kit, ending up with a hybrid of sort.
No SYE yet. You can kinda see the Transfer Drop kit between the frame and the skid plate. Thinking of doing a hack and tap. A guy I wheel with has one and I'm letting him test pilot that set up. As for vibes, the TC drop worked, no new vibes at all. The only thing is, shifting into 2nd gear, If I don't PUT it in, it'll pop out. Nothing that I can't live with for now. I'll fix it when the annoyance level peaks out. |
