New to jeeps....need some help....

I am going to look at some Wranglers. My wife has a Daewoo that i want her out of. I drive a 2002 S10 Blazer. We are going to let her drive the Blazer for awhile, untill she finds something she wants, and i havebeen looking at a Jeep

http://www.selectjeeps.com/Sales/0a0abt98mossgreenSport.htm

96K miles will take 11,500.

Deal or no deal??

Here is the site with some other jeeps too...

Well, to put things in perspective for you. I got a 2003 Jeep Wrangler RUBICON with 55,000 miles on it and both hard and soft tops for $14,000. I haven't had a single issue with her yet(only had her a month so far) and she seems in perfect conditon cosmetically and operationally.

This is just something for you to compare against.

Hmmm so a bit much? What would be a good offer?

Well,

I am by no means an expert. She does have some mods done to her obviously, but I think you could find a stock wrangler in the same condition MUCH cheaper, and then build her up yourself for cheaper in the long run, and you get the pride of doing it yourself and making it YOUR jeep that YOU built up.

As far as offering price? I really couldn't give you a good estimate, maybe someone else can though. I just wanted to tell you what I got so you could have something to compare against.

However, the most important thing!!!! The price they have listed there is not neccessarily the price you can get on it. They may be willing to drop the price for you, go and talk to them, negotiate. Remember it's not the price listed, but it's the price you can negotiate!!!

Well i am not one that has the tools or time to do the mods myself, so a pre lifted rig is ideal for me.....

I don't see anything on that guys site that screams please buy me I'm a good deal. Can I give you one suggestion...........Ebay. I have purchased more vehicles off of ebay than anything. People post a lot of pictures and Jeeps are toys for a lot of people. Much like a boat etc. So they decide they need to sell them and you can get a good deal if you keep your eyes open. Don't turn away if one is a ways away. I got my jeep from MD and I live in KS. 1100 miles. It cost me 800$ to have it delivered to my door. If I knew what you are looking for I would help in your search. Is it going to be your DD? Do you want something lifted? How much off roading will you be doing? What is your price limit? Does it have to have a hard top. Let me know these and I'll help you out. I"m going to do a 30 sec. ebay search and see what I can find for you. Keep us posted but shy away for the jeep you posted. To much money. I don't think a bank could get you financed on it. They will be asking you for a bunch of money down just to pull the deal off.

Todd

Hmm....

Well, I am not a good judge about modded jeeps and their prices, so I'll leave this up to anyone else for advice to you, just heed my price I got for my Rubicon. My stock 2003 rubicon is a beast offroad, in great condition, and has decent mileage(and alot less) and I got it for only a couple more grand, so just take everything into account as to what you want.

And in the end, just make sure the price you pay is for what you want. If it'll make you happy, then go for it. Just remember, there are other deals out there.
