New jeep... What maintenance?
Got a 2000 tj sport about a month ago. 4 liter 5 speed with about 115k miles on it. I dunno what kind of maintenance the previous owner did so I was wondering what I should do just to be safe. All I know is that the dealer did an oil change. Thanks

I always check brakes, especially the rears .. look for leaks (brake fluid leaking from the wheel cylinders and oil coming thru the rear axle seals).
I would change out oil in both diffs, gearbox, transfercase, engine oil and filter. Take a look at the spark plugs. Check the air filter. Check the antifreeze with a hydrometer to see if it still good (it loses it's effectiveness over time). And welcome to the world of Jeeps ![]()
