new jeep owner
Out of necessity I bought an '06 right hand drive Wrangler [ i'm a rural letter carrier] and I have to say I'm suprised how much I enjoy it.
I drove a Subaru wagon for eight years and don't remember anybody ever saying they liked my Legacy but everbody that I see on my route compliments my new jeep. Whats all the waving about don't ya'll know I'm a deranged postal worker.

Well, just wave first, ask questions later, as opposed to the usual "shoot first" postal response. lol
Congrats on the new purchase and I'm glad to hear that you like it! I guess you won't be lifting it, though, will you? Hard to reach the mailboxes when you're several inches above them, huh? |

No can't lift it and upgrading tires is out since I use about two sets a year.
Might convert rear drums to disc because they are so much easier to work on. On the subaru I put front pads on every six to eight weeks and shoes in the back about every three months. |

Hey, postman. Congrats on your new Jeep. I get a lot of compliments too. Think a lot of people like to own one, but not practical for their situation, but that may change with 07 4-door model.

I got a comlement form a little old lady at work today. I work at a car wash and when she pulled up she must have seen me wiping my Jeep down cause she said "That sure is a nice looking Jeep." I dont have any chrome or anything and my doors were off so this lady must have had good taste for an older broad.

Also washed an '06 with chrome mirrors and 27's, I asked the girl if she had a chance to go four wheeling and she said "yeah" in the most confused/contrived way. It was wierd. The other jeep I washed today had a hot MILF that was really nice, she was driving he sisters Jeep. I guess she borrows it all the time to go offroading then brings it through the car wash on the way home. I hope my girlfriend/wife has that spirit someday.

Congrats on the Jeep. A buddy of mine went from a Subaru Outback to his "new to him" 03 TJ. It's amazing what a different ride will do for you. He doesn't complain about his commute anymore and has officially turned into a Jeep Fanatic. You are now not only a Jeep owner, but part of a global community.

One would "just love to drive it" but the strangest one was from an old guy who is retired from ford that yelled from his front porch that my new ride was "pure sex." I told him that he had me confused with the milkman. |

Congrats on your new RHD! I bought one too with 500 miles on it because it was such a great deal and I don't even have a postal job! I get lots of funny looks, especially with the dog in the front seat! They built the RHDs with all the essential equipment, such as D44, 3.73 gears. Put some better tires on it and you will go anywhere and enjoy the trip!
P.S. Little 'old' ladies own jeeps too!
