Just be easy with the tank until the fuel lines are off of the pump!
Yeah, I have been only filing my tank with a couple gallons to get me through the next few days. I want it to be near empty during the install.

I'll start around 7 pm, so as long as I can get done by midnight I'll be good for work the next day.

Just be careful with the horseshoe clips on the fuel lines. Do not use any tools or you run the possibility of breaking the horseshoe clips.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been reading the last few pages of this thread for pointers, and I definitely will make note of the technique mrblaine mentioned earlier.

Over three years on my Savvy skid. Dropped it to chase a small evap leak code and found my straps holding the tank were totally loose. I found one set of cross dowels in the skid. Anyone know of a source for them. I know Gerald is very busy right now and probably out of touch with wifi. I checked McMaster-Carr without luck.

Thanks,

Reed

I don't even know what grade of steel most companies build their skids out of (A36 maybe?), but how does the aluminum you're using compare, strength wise? I've been looking at Rokmen's skid combo, but the light weight and no-rust aluminum sure would be nice if it's just as strong...
I totally missed this. You just need to email me and I'll fix you up in the future.

Going on five years I have yet to have a skid fail. I've replaced one that was dented that could have been easily fixed with a large sledge. It would have done the job nicely. But since it was Eric (biffgar) I just replaced it.

I wanted to thank all of you that took a chance on a new Company. We started a revolution with the GTS. Now all of the big guys are making full aluminum lines of bumpers, armor and fenders. I'm really happy to see that the whole industry has advanced.

I have a badly scared and dented one to.... I like it that way tho.

I want your factory 07-up take-off/thrown out JK front/rear Lower Control Arms! Bent ones are perfect also as long as the bushings and cold cut rings are in good shape/useable
