Yes, you gain approximately .75 more clearance.

Thanks,

LOL, my tank was smashed so badly, I was able to use the High Clearance holes and get the tank back in without a BL!..... problem now is, even after I drilled the holes out even more oblong and moved it back about an inch, my differential gets pinned at full stuff. The Savvy skid didn't want to bend either when I took a sledge to it trying to cave it in a bit to clear..

Mud, I think you abuse your Jeep more than Gerald does. I also think that goes to show that the Savvy skid does what it is supposed to

LOL, mine sat out on the ground out of the stock skid for at least 4 hours before I got back to putting it in the savvy skid and it still hadn't started to expand back to normal, I'm used to only getting 13 gallons of gas in the rubi so I took advantage of it.

I bet I can give him a run for our money!

I'm looking forward to driving the LJ thru the Rubicon in July. It's been a while since I drove a 35" Jeep on the trails. Anyone doing the Jeeper's Jamboree in July?

I'll be able to test our skid out fully!

I was just thinking about the gas tank skid and we have not had one single failure in over a year. I'm still impressed with the form and function. This is truly a masterpiece.

I dunno about that! I already put a pretty sweet dent and a huge gash in the Savvy skid I installed on portlandcj's jeep and it's got a RE 5.5" long arm lift on it!... that was done about 5 miles from the house... When I told him about it, He said "thats what it's there for"! LOL.

I kinda hate to see what the Savvy skid on my jeep will be looking like when I get my front axle built since I run my 35's on 2.5" of suspension lift.

Tear it up to the point of failure and we'll ship out another. Of course, I get to define failure.

We are not neglecting you. We are ingnoring you! J/K!

We have the design and run a few of them on our YJs. We just haven't had time to build them with all of the other stuff being built.

I think one will be made available.

Thanks,

Gerald

Is this the same guy that said I couldn't make any judgements from your posts about your driving?

Would that be the first Savvy skid with a dent?

Can we see some pics of the damage?
