edit...oops. didn't realize you were talking about the alloy stamp.

Should come off with some paint thinner or lacquer thinner IIRC.
i have NO probs running the "Savvy" sticker, personally i think it would be sweet if they had a logo cut into the skid like warn, a black tank behind a silver skid it would show up real nice

lol Yeah I did an edit after I realized what you were talking about. I agree with you but I bet it it would add a bit to the cost because it would have to be done with a laser or water jet most likely.

No stickers or laser cutting (don't really care for the Kilby Cutouts on my stuff now) on mine... I'll take one...it'll go in the drawer with all the other advertising stickers that I didn't install...just my personal preference (Gerald, when you box mine up next week, sticker is optional).

That's just ink from the mill to show the grade of material, it should clean off with just about any solvent based cleaner. If you have any issues, I'll spend some time cleaning a few and come up with what's best. Let me know.

There will never be a laser cut logo in any product I'm involved with. It's up to the consumer to determine if they are happy enough with a product to advertise and that will always be their personal choice.

Stickers will be supplied that you can apply or toss in the trash.

I know a case can be made either way, but it's hard to undo a laser cut logo.

I wouldnt want a logo cut into my skid for the simple reason that its another stress riser. I would want as much structual rigidity as i could get.

Oh, OK. Well, Alcohol, Paint Thinner, Benzene, MEK (Methyl Ethyl Keytone)... your choice. Shouldn't be too hard to remove. Don't worry your pretty little head...

*gasp*
Is that a Smittybilt Tire-Carrier in the first post of the thread?

I think so, because it seems the owner of that rig is a proud TAP supporter.

I know it's not Jerry's rig cause he knows better than that

Don't know about the tire carrier, but it looks like it has a Ford 9" axle in it, so I am going to guess it is one of Geralds.

It's my POS tire carrier! I'm waiting for Blaine to remedy that problem!

If you do a search for aluminum used in belly skids, you'd likely find where I've been arguing in favor for at least 6 years.
