New Full-Width Dana 60 Pics...Before and After!!

Okay folks...I recently posted a thread of my Dana 60 I picked up out of a junk yard...still had the shock mounts and leaf spring perches still on there and was rusted and what not...you know the usual. Anywho...finally done for now, waiting on the disc brakes to come in...but this is what it looks like all cleaned up and re-painted. I completely shaved down the whole axle, and totally threw away the old drum brakes. The only thing that gave me a problem was getting off the leaf spring perches...they were very stubborn and took a while to grind down...but for the most part, was pretty straight forward. Check 'em out and tell me what you think. Oh any by the way...I know its scratched up on the axle tubing where its laying on the jack stand, when I rotated the axle to paint different parts, it scraped off...so please hold off on the flaming.

Thanks.

JackaL

8 lug fullfloater-very nice. What size tires are you going to run? What front axle will you use?

I was thinking the same thing... Looks like a killer axle though. What'd you pull it from?

Planning on full-width full-floater Ford Dana 44...More than likely 39s or 40s.

Yes indeed...but I don't have the money right now to buy and weld on the brackets...so it's sitting on the back porch of my apartment complex...and I had to paint it so it wouldn't sit and rust.
