New to driving in general. Need help with backspacing.

Sorry to bother you guys but i have a '97 tj and I'm looking to switch out the stock rims to silver cragar soft 8s. I want to keep the tires i have now they're Firestone Destination LE's. This tire specifically:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....EOWL&tab=Specs. How much backspacing do i need? I'm not planning on getting bigger tires in the future either. Any tips would be appreciated too. Thanks!

Most came with 5"-5.5" BS, so 5.5" or less. Less backspacing means wider stance.

So would these fit? Soft 8, Steel, Silver, 15 in. x 7 in., 5 x 4.5 in. Bolt Circle, 4 in. Backspace. Or is that too little backspace?

Yes, they will fit. They will also stick out further than your stock rims.

7" rims are a little on the narrow side. Can work but might want to look at 8".
