New Dash and Cage Build Thread

Over the next month I will be doing a new cage and building a new dash that will tie in with the cage and be similar to a basic CJ style...

So here is some progress right now. Got everything ripped aparted. Going to start building a mock up dash shortly

Basic Dash. The tubes for the cage are going to come along the sides and that is what the dash will tie on to...

Cluster will be more centered on the dash

Can you please post a photo of the cowl area on the passenger side from the inside of the jeep. I have a huge dent in that area and it would be nice to see what can be accessed from the inside.

Sure which part are you looking for? Like behind where the air bag would be?

Go rent a Yaris before you commit to putting your dials in the center. I hate cars that do that.

just make sure you make the dash accessible or easy to disassemble to get to and repair behind the A/C system as it seems these babies like to lose heater cores or have to take the evaporator apart to clean debris out so the Air-conditioner will drain properly.

I am removing it all. Heater core already went out. Figured it would be better to clean everything out all together and just add a new heater and new ducts.

I'll do my best to keep everything updated as it is built, but fair warning it could be a while until 100% done...
