Nerf bar install tricks?

I installed a couple of nerf bar steps last weekend and the one side has a little creak in it. Went out tonight and tried to readjust the front bracket and that might have helped. Are there any tricks to this? The rear hooked on to a body mount the front uses 2 screws into the \_ part of the floor wheel well. There was no drilling involved.

thanks
Steve

Don't expect them to be very strong. If you rub something they will be torn right off. I have some that are welded to the frame. I've tested mine numerous times. Very strong.
