What are you going to be using the jeep for, daily driver/offroading or strictly offroading? Keep in mind that the bigger you go the bigger you spend.

Of course you can do without the three listed above but i wouldn't IMO. Most 4" lift kits are bolt ons. When going that high on a TJ, you may experience vibrations in the rear driveshaft. This is a result of the shaft angle getting too extreme and you will need to fix this. Be sure to have a Motor Mount Lift/Body Lift or Slip yoke eliminator kit/adjustable upper control arms on your list

Sounds like you want a cheap route to good looks...and if your doing it for looks you do NOT want to fork out the cash for 35's
My suggestion... RE Budget Boost-2" suspension lift that includes shocks 1" Body lift-lifts the tub off of the frame 1" This will allow you to run 32's without spending alot of money. If you are dead-set on 33's though... Rubicon Express(RE) 3.5" Standard kit- 3 1/2" suspension lift which usually nets around 4-4.5" of lift RE extreme monotube shocks I have the RE 3.5" Standard and I enjoy it. It's a great lift for a beginner and easily upgradeable for when you get into 4wheeling more often.

It will fit, but anytime you go over 3-3.5" on a TJ, you may or may not need a slip yoke eliminator and cv driveshaft ($430) depending on the Jeep (everyone is different). I would second the 2" budget boost with OME shocks and 1" BL with 32s or 33s.

3"-4.5" for 33's 5+" for 35's However, there is always an exception! Rancho makes a 4" lift (Rockcrawler version....about $1000.00) that they claim clears 35's (it does, I have a friend with one.....long bump stops limit up travel and soft springs get them a pretty flexy ride too). At 4" your most likely going to have driveline vibes so a slip yoke eliminator would most likely be needed. With the SYE, comes a need for adjustable rear upper control arms. With the Adj. rear upper arms comes a need for rear shock relocators. etc......etc.......etc...... Yea, and Brake upgrades, steering upgrades etc...... Plan on that "cheap" lift costing you about $3K when it's all said and done. Bill

Just some input for you. I went with a Teraflex 3T kit and was able to fit 33x12.50 MTR's on 15x10's without any problems, or other pieces like new drive shaft/slip yoke etc... and still have room to play. I also use mine as a dailly driver of 80 miles a day and alot of compliments on the look of the height. 2000 TJ Sport

I ran 33s on the trail with 4" of lift. Now i run 36s on the trail and I added the 1" body lift. They rub a little, but you have to adjust your bumpstops to keep them from rubbing. At full flex and 4" my 33s rubbed the flares a little, but that was when i was almost picking a tire off the ground. If you go with 4" you are pushing it on the SYE. I needed one, but i waited about a year or so to do it after the lift and tires. What a lot of people do to get around the SYE is run a 3 inch suspention and a 1 inch body lift. Hope this helps, what ever you do DON"T GET SKYJACKER. my lift flexes great, but it squeaks like no other and the only way to fix the squeak is to replace all the heim joints (14 plus the one on the TracK bar). Just a thought. Also skyjacker rides really rough
