Need New Tie Rod What to Get?

So yeah i bent my tie rod the other night and now i have the Death Wobble. I was wondering what is a good replacement tie rod and drag link assembly?

Here are a few that I'm looking at tell me what you think. I want a straight bolt in so keep that in mind.

I like the crown just because i can get it for 200 with free shipping. Will this be good for me? I don't do a lot of rocks but i do a lot of mud with hidden rocks in it. I had the Big Daddy setup in my CJ and i loved that so anything comparible to that would be good.

I am pretty sure that the crown is just the tierod & draglink from a V8 ZJ, it is a better tie rod then the TJ but the draglink is the same. You can get just the tierod parts much cheaper from a junkyard or parts store.

Don't know what mods the RK one requires.

Here's the link to the part numbers for the ZJ tie rod

http://www.stu-offroad.com/steering/zjtie/tierod-1.htm

If you're only going to upgrade the tie rod and the ends, that gives you the best bang for the buck IMHO.

I would go with the Currie System. Can't go wrong there. Very robust system and will bolt up without any problems. You can get it a little cheaper with free shipping as well from NorthRidge4x4.com though

I agree. This upgrades everything without work on the knuckles etc.
If you just want a tie-rod get a Big Daddy. But that does nothing to help the wimpy draglink.

I vote for the 98 ZJ V8, done it on a few buddies jeeps, it's straight bolt in and I think it cost about $130 out the door for everything.

compared to the Currie setup the ZJ tie rod is still small.

Iron Rock Offroad makes a good looking tie rod for about 70$

If i am not mistaken, the stock drag link is pretty strong, save ur money
