Need new radiator-Suggestions Please, ASAP

06 TJ, 6cyl, 6spd

My radiator is leaking on my TJ. There's a leak coming from the bottom somewhere. It has 80k on it, so it's time for a new one.

What do you recommend as a replacement? Should I stay OEM or is there a better aftermarket alternative?

I appreciate the input, I would like to resolve this asap.

thanks!

Just replaced mine with an oem. I also replaced my water pump and thermostat while I was at it. And dont forget to check your hoses as well. I did a lot of searching and I bought mine from the radiator barn. Cheapest price anywhere and they have a great warranty. Here's a link...

Also used radiatorbarn to replace my oem radiator that leaked at the seam with the plastic end tanks. Have had no issues since....... I also replaced my water pump and thermostat at the same time since they had 120K + miles....

X2, I'd definitely go wit the Mopar OEM radiator.

Rokmen TT, Rokmen control arms, Novak NV241 cable shifter, JKS 1.25" BL + 1" MML.

Anybody can take advice if it doesn't interfere with their plan.

I have a three core from radiatorbarn waiting at home. I am on the road another day or two. I liked the price, easy to order and quickly shipped. Can't wait to install. Can anyone tell me more about their three core, copper and brass radiators.

OEM gets my vote because it works well and I never had any overheat problems even on the crazy hot days. online pricing from shops like www.wermopar.com had some decent prices (I got mine there), but shop around.

You guys know where I can get a good price on an OEM?

I'm a little confused by Radiatorbarn, are they OEM?

I replaced my radiator last March with a 3 inch Griffin aluminum radiator from Quadratic.com. Easy to replace and no problems here in Arizona summers even low speed rock crawling with 115 f temps.

Aftermarket, but I'm a couple of years in with a radiatorbarn replacement and it's good so far.

I believe the OEM radiator was made for them by Modine, so if you can find a Modine radiator in the aftermarket I'd go that route if the price was right.

I bought a cheap radiator off Ebay three years ago for my ZJ and it has held up just fine. I think it was around 50 bucks with free shipping, can't beat that!

EDIT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-RA...5e37ad&vxp=mtr

That's the company I bought from, 70 bucks shipped and shipping was fast.

I went with a Mopar OEM from wermopar.com.

Thanks for the great ideas, everyone.

New Radiator arrived today from wermopar.com . Genuine Mopar at half the price of the dealership ($203 shipped to my front door). The customer service called me prior to shipment to let me know that if I chose a cheaper shipping option, it would still arrive in the time constraints I specified during my order, saving me about $14.

Very few companies do that nowadays. I give them the thumbs up.
