What actual fuel mileage do you get???

Compute the actual mileage. Set the mileage to ZERO, fill the tank. Drive it and divide the mileage travled by the amount of fuel that it takes to refill it. That will give us a better idea if you actualy have an issue or we need to help you solve an issue.

Explain your driving style.

Is it an auto or manual?

When was the last tune up

How fast do you drive on a 65 MPH highway?

What octane fule do you run? 87 I hope!

He's complaining about a half tank of gas? That's excellent as far as I am concerned.

edit: Where is the OP?

Wow. Im new here obviously but the guy was asking for help here and needed suggestions. Im actually a little suprised at some of the replies back to him.

I run premium but Im super hard on my Jeep so in my theory it might help just a tad (doubtful but the voices in my head say to do so). I have a 2.5L and with 35" tires, a stinger bumper and winch and a 6" lift, I get crap for mileage and that's with regular tune-ups and good maintanance. I doubt I get more than 14 mpg on a good day but I'm not exact on that.

Can I just get your address so I can slap you upside the head? What a moron. Someone lock this thread up so no more time is wasted on this dummy. What a complete moron this guy is. Sounds like he's 15, oh wait... probably is hence why his daddy is selling his Jeep.

Chinese suck on these? Seriously, are you even 15?

William... is that you?

LOL

Seriously you're going to defend this guy???

BTW running premium is a COMPLETE waste of money. I can give you a long 3 page read on why but in short, there is no extra POWER to be had in premium, it just means that it can handle a little more pressure prior to igniting which in a performance car can matter but in a very very basic motor like this .... no way in hell. You've been wasting your money so just start using 87. Some motors may ping due to well... horrible design imo but in that case you could mix 89/87 half half and be fine or just let it ping a little even.

So, save some money run 87 or 89 if the voices won't leave you alone.

Get a part time job on campus to pay for gas. You will only have to work a few hours a week, and then you can pay for fuel, insurance, or whatever.

Oh I don't blame anyone, I was just a little suprised is all. Im still trying to figure out your forum here. So I might be one that people will get irritated with but it's cool, we can still be friends right?

Anyways, I was kind of laughing a little because my Jeep is soooo underpowered that Im lucky if I can get it in 4th gear on the freeway. The tire size made a bigger difference than I had anticipated. It's kind of embarrassing but at least it looks good and it does amazing up in the mountains.
Looking at doing a throttle body and possibly having the gears done.
