My U-Pol Raptor Experience
I decided this summer I was going to line my jeep.
My idea was to herculine it, but then I saw a couple threads about the Raptor liner, I was sold instantly. Everyone who lined their jeep with it was extremely satisfied and it also looked very good. So, I started removing everything just a couple days ago, working on it every couple of hours a day, sucks to be working.... As everyone else stated, PREP is the key, PREP, PREP and lots more PREP. It's a pain in the butt but it's all worth it in the end. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In the middle of sanding I remembered I had to wash it out... DUH Today i'll post some more pictures of the progress, and i'll hopefully be able to spray tomorrow.

Did a lot more sanding today and almost got the passenger side done, but sadly it began to rain.
Tomorrow I'll finish that up and move on to the drivers side, then hopefully I can spray by the afternoon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks great! What did you use to do the scuffing up? I've heard sand paper, but there's a shorter and easier way, but your prep work looks great. Love to hear your secret!

Thanks guys!!
My secret is time and patience aha, I am using 180grit automotive sandpaper. I don't really like using a sanding block, I mostly use my hands. It's a very time consuming process, I bet there is much faster ways, but I want to take my time and make sure everything is nicely sanded down before I shoot the liner. I'd say just take your time and the end result will be worth it. Hope that helps aha.

Looks good, and I am sure you already know this, if it's shiny, it won't stick. Keep up the good work!!

Good work so far, I remember hating myself for starting it when I looked up and realized I had only sanded the bottom of the rear and had to do the rest of the tub. However in the end, I was extremely happy with the results.

2006sport - do you have actual removable/replaceable plugs in the big drain holes?!?! The ones that Chysler *should* have made removable! Where did you get them? How's the fit?
I'm about to line my tub, and I'd love to pull those out. Need a replaceable plug to put back in when the hardtop/carpet gets put in. Thanks! -Drew

Sorry to disappoint everyone but I couldn't get the jeep lined today.
Got home late and started sanding late, but I finished the passenger side and almost all of the drivers side, all I have left is the lower parts of the roll cage and the door jam. Then its little touch ups, masking, Acetone, then spray! I'm hoping Sunday I can get it finished, tomorrow I can't do anything because I have a wedding to go to. Here's some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
