My Jeep got soaked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was on my way home from work yesterday, when it started POURING rain!!!!!!!!! I had my safari bikini top on (thank God), that all that kept me from getting soaked. As long as I kept driving I was fine, but the storm was so bad that the lightning knocked out the power and I had to wait in traffic, because idiots here don't know how to yield at a 4-way intersection, when the traffic lights are out.
Anyhow...my Jeep is drying today....anyone else ever forget to put their top on and pay for it later????

I took my backseat and rugs out long ago...I run with the softop up without side or rear window all the time... I always fold the seats forwad when I park but I don't really get wet at all even in downpour...the tub gets wet but not me...

Yea, I folded my passenger seat forward, but it still got a little water when I went around corners. I also had to pull the floor plugs when I got home, because there was a lake on each floorboard...it was fun though!!!!

Last summer I had to use my shop vac to take almost 20 gallons of water out of my jeep after we had a series of severe storms. I had my bikini top, windjammer, duster cover and two piece soft doors on and it still got soaked.

I don't own a Wrangler...yet, but I was wondering, suppose I take all the tops off on a nice day and then it starts pouring, do I have to worry about the electronics or anything getting wet? I'm assuming they are made from the factory to handle water, but I'd just like to know what I could be getting into.

Thanks,
Marcus

I was on my way home from work just the other day, stopped at a stop light. Bang! Lightning hits and it, just, poured! No top, no doors, no nothing, and I was still twenty minutes from home.

...I loved every minute of it

The hardest part about driving with the top down in the rain is when you have the full doors and you take them off...as soon as you hit 45, the back pressure makes the inside of your widnshield wet.....and there aint no wipers there

Aye, I had to lean forward and wipe the window with my shirt sleeve quite a bit, though it didn't seem to help much

On a long trip over the weekend I drove into a huge storm. The sky turned black and the temp dropped about 5 degrees in about 5 minutes. I decided I would be better off to make a run for a gas station (cover) rather than stop on the side of the highway. While I was stopped under the gas station awning putting up my top, another Jeep pulled up to do the same . It started pouring while we were working (we were chatting so it took a lot longer than normal).

I stopped about 30 miles later to put it down again . I have terminal optimism .

enjoy the ride...don't worry about the little stuff...anyway, I want to believe that all that stuff is sealed????

can anyone answer this for me?? why is there that little section of cloth on the stick side of my seats in my 98, this is my one gripe about my 98...I had a 95 that was all vinyl so water was never a concern esp. when carpets were out.

anyone have rhino lining or simliar product down on floor??like it?

Its all suppose to be water resistant (fingers crossed) I don't think they would function correctly while completely submersed though.
