Is my front end trouble "death wobble" or... regular wobble?

I have a very distinct wobble that appears at about 55 miles per hour, which seems to be standard operating procedure for death wobble. However, I read about people talking about death wobble who say that when it happens they need to slow down to a stop before it goes away. I don't. If I go any faster or slower, or change grade, the wobble stops. In fact, when it happens I try to hold speed and keep it going as long as possible (just to see what happens), but I have trouble keeping it going for more than a couple of seconds.

Is this death wobble?

The front-end shake started shortly after I replaced a broken sway bar link. Could I have done something to cause it in that process?

I also added a winch mounted on a trailer hitch to the front end a few months before this problem developed. The winch and mounting plate are 90 pounds by themselves, and they mount in the hitch receiver such that the winch ends up maybe as much as a foot out from the bumper. This is not including the weight of the hitch receiver bolted to the frame. I never did anything to compensate for sag in the front suspension. Could this be related to my front-end shake?

In lieu of the above options, I guess all that's left to do is get an alignment/tires balanced. I just wanted to know if the above are things I need to consider.

I had a very simmilar problem. Turned out my front right rim was bent. Got a new rim and it rides like new now. I would bring it to a shop and get the balance checked like you said.

If you have to ask if you have death wobble you don't have it. I only understood this once I experienced it first hand

I'm curious as to where the distinction becomes deadly.

try rotating your tires front to back and see if you still have the problem

Hard to say from the video, but that looks to be about how it wobbles. Can't really judge how violently the wheel is shaking when the camera is shaking too.

X2.

a good indication is needing a new set of underwear and maybe leaving a crease in the seat too.

if you have to ask if it's death wobble, it's not. death wobble is very violent shaking that feels like the jeep will fall apart.
